Loud

It's one thing to be able to mix records and jump around your livingroom with your mum as your only adoring fan and quite another to stand tall in front of hundreds of demanding punters.

Yet all bedroom DJs want a chance to show the world quite how great their skills are when it comes to mixing up a storm on the dancefloor.

Get a different perspective on chamber music: DJs and VJs join The Tate Ensemble and the Elysian Quartet at Cargo. 7:30pm-1am. 83 Rivington Street, EC2. £4.

The White House in Clapham is offering you that chance. Every Wednesday from November 10th (you've got exactly ten days!) three aspiring DJs will battle it out for a place in the quarter-finals, with the ultimate winner bagging a slot on Ministry Of Sound radio plus sets at the White House, The Cross, and Penge Party.

Enter by sending in a 30-minute mix CD but the music should be in the deep, soulful or funky house vein. DJs and music industry professionals will choose the contestants and judge the competition as it progresses.
