Drum roll please, for today is the day that Karl Lagerfeld lands in H&M. Not literally, of course - now that would be funny - but his cheapest fashion collection in the whole wide, ever. We've seen so many designer/ highstreet fashion collaborations that it's almost boring, but there's something wonderfully kitsch about Lagerfeld of über-expensive Chanel fame teaming up with scuzzy H&M. |

The clothes for men and women are traditional Lagerfeld signature, with slim silhouettes, razor sharp tailoring, sequinned jackets, cotton shirts, narrow knits, silk lingerie - which he says will flatter everyone. Plus we can pick from a range of fabulously glamorous accessories. What we're not sure about though, is 'Liquid Karl', a dodgy his & hers fragrance that accompanies the collection but smells like digestives, and looks like urine. We may all want to dress in his clothes, but smelling like him is only for die hard fans. |

Lagerfeld collaborated with H&M because "the idea was modern." So modern that canny shoppers will spot the Ebay angle as soon as the goods hit the shops. Tip: Buy it in bulk and sell it on quick. This is a collectors collection if ever we saw it. Lagerfeld
