Cheap ivory tulle and gauzey veils from Debenhams bridal just won't cut it. But there's hope for cool brides yet; Browns - South Molton Street purveyors of designer shopping - are launching Browns Bride today (I can hear the collective oohs already).

As with all things Browns it's super-duper chic designer fashion at its best. Dresses have been sourced from all over the world and vere from traditional to of-the-minute no fuss affairs, including Reem Acra and Marc Jacobs from New York, Monique L'Huillier from LA, as well as luxe labels Emanuel Ungaro, Elspeth Gibson and Alberta Ferretti.

Then there's the cream of accessories: tiaras, pins, combs, vintage and modern jewellery to make your mouth water - plus a selection of Christian Loubitain shoes (which are officially the only option for TBD).

The new store is opening on the site of the old Comme des Garçons space on Brook Street and it's worth making a beeline for if you're getting hitched or not. Who's to stop anyone rocking up & trying on a few for fun?
