Armydreamers at agnès b, 111 Fulham Road SW3, 18th-24th November 2004
Don't ask, don't tell

agnès b is helping create an army.

You might think she's taking the military trend a little too far, but she is recruiting an army of dreamers, as opposed to thick-necked squaddies.

A keen patron of the arts, the French designer first worked with artists Erwan Augoyard and Sophie Kovess-Brun (aka Myriam Corporation) when their 'Armydreamers' invaded her Marseille store in February 2002.

The initial recruits comprised two men and two women wearing the Myriam uniform (t-shirt, white wig and sunnies) who were photographed and then had their image reproduced around the architecture of the store, creating a type of wallpaper (who is Myriam?).

Since then, the recruitment drive has seen the 'Armydreamers' marching on to her stores in Tokyo, Osaka, Taipei and Toulouse, and today they will hit London at her Fulham store.
