Their annual Nightmare Before Christmas has become a must-attend event for London's art and music set. Just as all the double-barrels jet off for Bermuda or the Maldives for their month in the sun, the art world heads for, um, wetter pastures at the Camber Sands Holiday Centre (no, we are not kidding).

Previous acts have included Mogwai, Tortoise, Shellac, Autechre, Steven Malkmus and even Sonic Youth. This year, headliners include Throbbing Gristle, Mercury Rev and The Fall as well as Peaches, Liars, LFO, Carl Craig and Miss Kittin. No Neil Diamond or Busted? Huh, we were surprised, too.

For those a little to messed to hang with the crowd, there is always the campsite's regular activities, like mini-golf, paddling and go-carting as well as getting to know the lovely locals.
