Every year people from across the globe gather to marvel at each other's piercings and tattoos usually whilst wandering around in the blazing heat with little or no clothing. Done in the name of self-reflection and the unconscious power of dreams, the resulting third degree burns do little to dissuade the participants that the cosmic energy and banging techno aren't doing them the world of good. |

Now you too can shed the shackles of the real world as this Saturday the Burning Man relocates to the slightly less inspiring location of Leytonstone. Expect films, barbecues, massages, hot tubs, mind-boggling art, radical self-expression and, of course, that winning party trick: fire. As with its American cousin, those coming to 'Decompression' are asked not to spectate, to bring no money and to abide by no rules which sounds remarkably like the average tube journey in rush hour but with less nipple rings. |
