the future - a musical to believe in - DIESELMad Max
Stetson by Alastair Mackie

Curating seems to have taken over from DJing as the most overrated and widely practised job du jour, and general 'art boy about town' Max Wigram has recently been spotted at both activities.

Today sees the opening of a new show featuring recent finds Alison Moffet and Alastair Mackie at his gallery MW Projects. If it's as good as the recent exhibition there by photorealist painter James White, then it's definitely worth checking.

Moffet is a genius with a pencil, and Mackie builds some very strange objects d'art using materials as diverse as mouse skulls, tiny model airplanes, and flies.

Wigram is probably best known for dating Chloe's Phoebe Philo, co-curating the Apocalypse exhibition with Norman Rosenthal, and - for those not under his spell - being rather fond of himself.

As the saying goes: if he was a sweet, he'd eat himself! You might catch him alongside the art at MW Projects.
