A Glasto highlight and now in their second year of a stand-alone festival, expect the usual high camp-glam extravaganza (no rain-gear allowed!), with a much needed alternative musical line-up, including the PVC-clad Priscillas and the The Jaipur Kawa Brass Band, complete with a 'skilled tambourine player'. Nice.

But where LV really shines is in flamboyant entertainment. This weekend sees the usual suspects like Swinging Elvises and Can-Booty-Can girls, as well as a casino (how now), Roxy Knight in 'Fur Coat No Knickers', and our favorites the Chap Olympics (including Cucumber Sarnie Discus Throwing and The Margherita Relay Race) and the Mass Wedding, which will marry newfound lovers, for 24 hours (my kind of nuptials).

Manchester's arty punk funk at Cargo: A Certain Ratio. 7pm. 83 Rivington St, EC2. £12. 08700 600 100 or here.

Ooh La La, it's a Goldfrapp Playback launch party at Trash Palace. 7:30-9:30pm. 11 Wardour St, W1. Free.

State of Undress - luxury lingerie

And if you haven't washed in awhile, they'll also have the usual beauty parlor (god save the Laundrettas) and dress up box, so you can make yourself presentable.

There's cabaret and burlesque the West End way, and then there's the real deal. If you haven't experienced the latter, this weekend don a gown and get down.
