Rock a Bye Baby |
|
|
Whilst
we're all gratefully sprog-free here in the UJ
office, it's clear that there's something amiss
in the land of the little fellas. Babywear used
to mean Osh Kosh and Benetton 012.

Then,
when that stopped being good enough, they got baby D&G
and Dior, full on Burberry pram ensembles, and onesies
with 'Marc Who?' splashed across the front.
Now babies are going hardcore. Even if they're not
born into a rock dynasty like Drew, Liv, or Kim, your
baby can at least look like it's heading into a life
of roadies, rock and rehab. What started with a Gallagher
child gesticulating at the gathered press has escalated
into high
heels for crib bound toddlers and classic rock songs
transformed into bedtime
lullabies for the budding songwrite within.

But
where better to go for the authentic experience
than a rock star Dad? Tico Torres of Bon Jovi
fame is launching his 'Rock
Star Baby' clothing at Harrods this week,
which features everything from hi-tech carriages
and toys to clothing and even jewellery for the
little blighters. What's next - baby tattoos?
At least 'I heart Mum' will eventually become
ironic.
