Following a weekend of Olympic handover hoo ha (it's still 4 years away, did we have to bring out the Will Young concert appearance already?), we're gearing up for even more sporting fun with the V&A Get Physical Late and Nike+ 10k run, followed by copious amounts of beer, crabs, and jumping about with Shrooms and Wonky Pop. If stamina and looking hot in a headband were an Olympic sport, we'd be golden.

Instead, two sparkling indie pop heavyweights use the mighty aural power of vinyl as ammunition. Will the cracking melodies of the 'Jets demolish those potty-mouthed Frenchies? Let the decks decide.

V&A Lates: Get Physical
Whilst it's not the horizontal fun old Olivia NJ originally suggested, there's loads here to get you all hot and sweaty, in a strictly PG way. Tiger Beer Singapore Chilli Crab Festival @ Truman Brewery
If you're bored of Chinatown but still fancy a little piece of the Far East this weekend, go and check out the Singapore festival. Yes, there'll be crabs, and yes, buckets of beer, but there's also henna artists, calligraphers, magicians, martial artists and live cookery demonstrations, not to mention a traditional garden to relax in after all of the craziness. So are all Singaporeans straight laced? Not in Shoreditch.

Clink Street & Shroom Present
Anniversaries usually beckon relatives and repressed memories like 'remember when we used to bathe together?' Thankfully, Danny Rampling's one-off mega party will be as debauched as ever. To celebrate 20 years of Shroom's acid house tomfoolery, the dance party don has gathered his old chums Mr C, Colin Faver, Evil Eddie Richards, Kid Batchelor together with old timers Farley & Heller. No horny step-aunts allowed. Oh alright, maybe one.

Nike+ Human Race
Seeing as everyone's still hyped up on Britain's Olympic Glory (zzzz), it only makes sense we continue with the Nike+ 10k race, and beat off 25 other cities for charity. Following a 90 minute concert featuring Moby, Pendulum and DJ Carl Craig, join Captain Paula Radcliffe at Wembley, or take part virtually via your Nike+ iPod or Nike+ Sportband; wonder if the Chinese can rig that technology? Silly question.

Wonky Pop
My latest wonky experience was when I mistook the curb for the pavementwhilst attempting an intoxicated move of Olympic proportions. If you prefer your topsy-turvy encounters to be a bit more musical, bubble along to the eccentric modern pop of classic wonky-poppers The Clik Clik, Eliza Doolittle, and Mpho Skeef live, with equally cockeyed DJ sets from ultimate Danish retro wonksters Alphabeat and new boys on the block Magistrates. Wonktastic.
