Big Kids Days Out |
|
|
When
a traditional sweet shop, complete with red and
white stripy paper bags, jars of colourful penny
sweets, and vintage treats at pocket money prices,
popped up on Columbia Road, it got us yearning
for some good old-fashioned, innocent fun. Even
the name, Suck & Chew, didn't make us giggle.
Much.

|
|
Nothing
says a vintage day out like a trip to the old seaside
style freak show; and Ripley's
new Believe It or Not! Museum of Oddities has an
abundance of freaky weirdness on offer, including a
£500,000 Swarovski Crystal-Covered Mini Cooper and a
genuine 16th Century Iron Maiden.
|
|
And
at Jurassic
Encounter, it literally doesn't get older
than the Dinosaur age meets mini golf; designed
by a crack-American team of over-the-top experts,
this new course is full of waterfalls, caves,
vegetation and yes, dinosaurs.
Winner buys the first round? We'll just take
a 99. But instead of the flake we'll have a straw.
And beer instead of ice cream. What, you didn't
expect miracles did you? We are grown ups, after
all.
