Pants to Art

As a child of the eighties I rocked the side-ponytail, the scrunch socks, and the denim. Oh the denim. Faded, ripped, paint splattered and rhinestone encrusted. But alas, these days we're so deep into skinnies that neither me nor my thighs are having any fun.

Putting some design back into denim are Brit favourites Lee Cooper, celebrating their centenary with Project 100. Designs include JC de Castelbajac's denim teddy bear jacket and Toxic's reversible painting with art on one side and jeans pattern on the other: literally wearable art, and up for auction during Paris Fashion Week at the end of the month.

If you can't wait that long, check out Henry Holland's limited edition designs for Levis 501 at his runway show on the 17th and buy them straight out of Selfridges the next day.

Topshop's new denim boutique (watch out for their collab with J Brand out Nov 30th) plays host to cult label Radcliffe's founder in a pop up clinic for fit consultations, styling, and alterations throughout LFW.

I can only pray they'll have a glue gun and some glitter handy.
