PICK OF THE DAY: JASPER CONRAN
Professionalism is an underrated commodity in British fashion,
yet the strongest members of the London fashion Week team
are those like Jasper Conran who provide professional collections
which mix the desirable, the commercial and the catwalk with
total dexterity and aplomb. Taking the soft colour palette
and teaming it with a nostalgic view of heritage summers from
30s dresses to 40s two pieces the collection successfully
played the retro game but in a totally modern way. The light
as air construction, the variety of silhouettes and the exquisite
details added together created a relaxed harmony which certainly
deserved its strong applause.

out fabulous photobooth, full of fierce faces and pretentious

GOSSIP: MONDAY
Overheard:
Sloane at back of bus 1: Oh my God, I was sooooo pissed
last night, like, so rat-arsed.
Sloane at back of bus 2: Oh my God, I know, and now it's
fashion week. It's like they're trying to hurt us.
Sloane at back of bus 1: Ya, I know. It's so difficult. It's
like, a job or something.

TAKE A BREAK
Impossibly fierce heels and cobbles rarely get along. Neither
do manicures and seat snatching squabbles, or for the unlucky
ones, standing room cramp. Head to some of the capital's best
rest-ups for a spot of recuperation before it starts all over
again. It's a hard game, fashion:
