Too In Touch? LFW COVERAGE AT END - SCROLL DOWN

Remember 1995-7? You couldn't swing a cat without hitting some guy with a Blondissima-doused barnet. Suddenly, even the boys thought that being blonde was more fun.

And these days, every bachelor pad I visit has a medicine cabinet that seems to hold the entire SpaceNK collection. One friend even gets his moisturiser shipped in. From Australia.

There used to be a time when a girl had to lug her own supplies to her boyfriend's. No longer. All the men I know have better beauty products than me. And I get mine free. Sure, Becks may have made a half head of highlights more acceptable, and back, crack and sack waxes are apparently de rigueur among the urban male, but I always presumed makeup would be the last frontier.

Seemingly not. Touch Éclat, YSL's cult concealer/ highlighting miracle cream - beloved by alcoholic whores everywhere - has come up with a male version, cunningly called 'Touch Éclat for Men'.

Whatever's next? Men menstruating?

Touche Éclat is available at Selfridges

OnOff Pick of the day

On|Off PICK OF THE DAY: MARK FAST

A confident catwalk collection which focused on the complex fabric manipulation involving knit, stretch, and body conscious silhouettes combining to make sexy but not vulgar dresses. The colour palette showed sharp white, brilliant red, bold cobalt and worked in perfect harmony with the mood of the clothes.

PARTY PICS: Giles ROCKS Swarovski

So we're thinking of starting a 'Giles Deacon for PM' campaign here at Castle UJ. Seriously, he really is that lovely. And on top of that, he's talented, stylish, straight, and knows how to throw a fabulous party, celebrating ten seasons of Swarovski sponsorship and the launch of the 2nd edition of Rocks magazine. Filling the old sorting office on New Oxford Street with sexy floating projections from his collection, a giant Pac Man ghost in the centre of the space, and a veritable army of stylish Giles lovers, the party was helped along by good tunes and some killer Tanqueray Ten cocktails from the Hoxton Pony crew. And of course, Prime Minister Deacon himself.

OUT AND ABOUT

GOSSIP: TUESDAY
Don't have anything nice to say? Come sit by us...

Overheard:
In South Kensington tube underpass
Tottering girl 1: Aargh! This tunnel is so ghetto.
Tottering girl 2: I know, you'd think the BFC would install some kind of moving walkway.
TG1: Ooooh, like an airconditioned tube so we don't have to walk or be near normal people.
TG2, sniffing at woman wearing flats: Well, at least we still have our dignity.

TAKE A BREAK

Impossibly fierce heels and cobbles rarely get along. Neither do manicures and seat snatching squabbles, or for the unlucky ones, standing room cramp. Head to some of the capital's best rest-ups for a spot of recuperation before it starts all over again. It's a hard game, fashion:

Backstage

BACKSTAGE: TEMPERLEY LONDON

Slip backstage at most fashion shows, and it's usually a chaotic throng of surprising blandness and pretty people taking themselves far too seriously. Kind of destroys the fashion magic. But not backstage at Alice Temperley. Instead, our intrepid UJ snappers discovered a curiously delightful flurry of gorgeous peacock colours, lush whites, feathery fun, and beautiful modules actually smiling. Who knew?
