The Real Deal |
Is there anything more fun than finding a flat in London?
Assuming you've narrowed down the location and calculated your actual maximum budget (depressing in itself), you're then left with two torturous options: |
1) The gumtree route, endlessly schlepping around to see the non-wide-angled reality of the places; or
2) An estate agent afternoon, constantly misled and dragged to the middle of nowhere in a fugly mini.
Both options are enough to make you check into a hotel. Permanently.
Hence why Ollie is our new best friend. Having been in the property industry for a while, Ollie recently set out on his own, offering a bespoke flat-finding service - whether buying or letting - to those of us who just can't schlep another step. |
After meeting you and getting to know what you're after, he'll view countless properties, and present you with a narrowed-down list of possible properties that could be perfect. And as he doesn't want to waste time any more than you do, he makes sure they're right on the money, meaning your decision is a relatively painless one.
Surprisingly, his rates for doing so are more than reasonable. To skip the hellish process, we'd happily pay a lot more. Just don't tell him that.
