Ah, advice.
Always wear clean underwear. Drink plenty of water
whilst out on a bender. Never cut your nails
on the full moon. Stop dating psychotic Scandinavian
blondes. |
|
Such
gems are a doddle to dish. But why must they
be so damn hard to take, no matter how well-meant
or useful they might actually be?
So when Taryn warned me that my distinctly
head-in-the-sand attitude
to the current economic clime was perhaps
not the most efficient approach, I decided I'd
try, you know, paying attention for a change.
But really, moi, eking out my weekends necking
cheap plonk indoors whilst totting up my Waitrose
50p off vouchers? I just can't see it. And nor
would I want you to. Financial common-sense
is all well and good, but Scrooge-esque frugality
never a happy bunny made.
Now half-price
Yo!Sushi - food, company, laughs, and a
reduced bill - sounds fine to me.
Supper, a cocktail,
and a West
End club for £20? No complaints here either.
