Nightmare |
|
|
|
Summer's
over folks - or as we like to call it here in London:
monsoon season. London may be the only city in the world
where, when it starts to get sunny, you know it's finally
Autumn.
|
|
But
even without the weather, I can tell the changing of
the seasons by the fact I get the same reoccurring nightmare.
Not one filled with goblins and ghouls - or more pressingly,
a London with thousands less City boys (the horror,
I'll starve) - but a terrible dream about forgetting
Hallowe'en.
Since I was a wee child, I've had the same nightmare
- it's Hallowe'en, and somehow I don't have a costume.
I wake up panting in fear. Literally, just thinking
about it gives me the shakes, because honestly, nothing
on God's green Earth would be worse.
|
|
Which
is why I've got Walking
Wardrobe on speed dial. The new company offer
costumes on tap, which for an anxiety-ridden costume-loving
fantasy fiend like me is pure heaven. And because
this is the only time of year where one is permitted
to go out in mixed company as a Bordello Slut/Pirate
Moll/Period Whore, frankly, I plan to milk it.
