Sugar High

Shopping is my crutch, which is why I'm taking this crunch business quite personally. Westfield's consumerist cathedral is opening tomorrow to tempt me from credit card chastity, and I'm not sure I can be trusted around 265 shopping options and the fiscal repercussions of my fashion fornication.

Problem is, I need a fix, and I'm starting to go klepto on the office, sliding staplers into my purse and neon postits under my bra. My boyfriend is no longer buying the 'carnival lingerie' story. So I'm going somewhere smaller. Where my rehab buddy can't find me.

My Sugarland opens on Saturday under the expert guidance of stylist and owner Zoe Lem, and beyond stocking hard to find labels (PPQ, Steve J & Yoni P, Belle Sauvage), hot graduates (Rebecca Reeves, Lindsey Connerton) and serious accessories (Cutler & Gross, Angel Jackson, Mawi), it also acts as art gallery and party space.

With interiors overseen by set designer Tony Hornecker, who's created shoots for i-D, Wallpaper and SHOWstudio and the first exhibition by jewellery designer Shilpa Chavan, it's just the kind of place you need to go for a quick high.

Judge me if you will. And no that's not a purchase in my pants. I'm just so happy to see you.
