fetishistic ball blitz, decadent Circus, or plain old pom poms that put the colour in your cheeks. And if it's free shiz you need, we've got you covered there too. We're actually Santa. Shhh. Don't tell.
This weekend's guide is brought to you in association with Jamie Lloyd's acclaimed production of Piaf at the Vaudeville Theatre for a strictly limited season. Tipped Xmas Pom Pom Party
There is no shame in a little craft kids, especially in these troubled times. Hey, if Mum was happy with a gluey seashell/glitter photo-frame when you were 5, she'd be belying her parental integrity by frowning upon such thoughtfulness now. Join other adults tonight for an evening of crafts, cupcakes and champagne, and create festive pom poms to stick on the tree, attach to cards, hell, jazz up the family dog; it's the thought that counts right?

Odette's
Odette's was one of those places, when I was growing up, that I deemed to be the height of bohemian sophistication. A dimly lit, velvety place serving French classics to brooding creative Primrose Hill-dwellers.
So I was a little shocked to see it undergo a makeover a couple of years ago and emerge with egg yolk yellow furnishings, flowery wallpaper and outside seating. Moreover, there was a TV chef (of sorts) at the helm, Welshman Brynn Williams who cooked up part of the Great British Menu for Her Maj, so I have to admit I purposefully stayed away for a while.
Having popped in for lunch the other day though, I have to say it wasn't the stuffy, dismal experience I expected. The food is, inevitably, Modern British but there are quirky things like brisket terrine served with picalilli and toast that you can have as a starter or a bar snack, and Brynn is known for his way with fish which was shown off to good effect with his pan-fried halibut with butternut gnocchi and creamed kale.
Yes, it's a bit posh, and I still kind of miss the murkiness, but the lack of Gitanes and patchouli-tinged air is probably a good thing and, as it's celebrating its 30th anniversary this year, it's worth going to pay your respects to the old girl.
