As
America prepares to say a fond farewell
to Bush, comedians around the world are
in mourning. It is unlikely that Obama
will ever declare that the human being
and fish can coexist peacefully, lament
that OB/GYNs can't practice their love
with women, or claim to have been misunderestimated.
|
|
And
seeing as we can't join the four million
strong stampede that's caused Bush to
claim a state of emergency in the capital
(well played Sir, well played), we're
planning our own little shindig.
The invites: Evites
has a patriotic assortment inviting your
mates to Party like a Barack Star, whilst
someecards
has a typically irreverent/mildly offensive
selection. Make sure your guests RSVP
'Yes we CAN' and 'No we CANnot.'
The décor: Americana!
The attire: Cafepress
has everything from buttons to t-shirts,
though we're not quite sure about the
'hope' and 'yes you can' thong selection.
The game: Obamabingo.
Print out the cards, turn on the TV, and
every time you hear one of his signature
words, stamp it.
The drink: American
Pop Champagne from Selfridges, and
retro
snow cones laced with Democrat Blue
Curacao.
|
|
The
out: Don't fancy cleaning
up post-party? Head to one of our
friends at Time
Out's picks of the capital's
ready-made celebrations.
The souvenir:
Send your mates a post party keepsake
with a life-size
Barack cut-out.
Which just goes to show, there
isn't a President that can't
be bought.
