When
I was eight, I drew a picture of what I thought
the world would look like in 2012. It was a
skyline filled with flying cars and indistinguishable
people in blob-shaped spacesuits. With two years
to my deadline, I'm not putting a lot of faith
in my clairvoyance. |

Nonetheless, with the annual CES event wrapping
up tonnes of space age gadgetry in Vegas last
week, and Hussein Chalayan's technologically-imbued
fashions exhibiting at the Design Museum from
tomorrow, we've got technology on the mind here
