Shopping in brick-and-mortar stores can be painful enough, what with all that dithering over choices and then queuing for ages to pay. The only thing that could possibly make it any more agonising would be towing around a younger sibling. Well, unless your little sis happens to be fashion's most anticipated discount site of the year. |
|
Launching yesterday, The Outnet combines the fashion clout of big sister Net-a-Porter with the continuing trend for designer sample sale sites, together with a 'ticking clock' incentive, akin to American brand Gilt.com (whose sales last only 36 hours). Boasting discounts of up to 80% on shoes, bags, accessories and womenswear from brands including Chloé, Miu Miu, Bottega Veneta and McQueen, The Outnet is clearly planning to keep you on your toes.
Their first Going Going Gone auction kicks off in two weeks with a lustful Chloé Kerala bag (the starting price of £666 slowly descends as you decide when to give in - hopefully before other shoppers), while the first 72 hour themed flash sale in a week's time promises the best Spring dresses. |
