Dum duh-duh dah-dum…
Woke up this morning, my baby was gone
Woke up this morning, my baby was gone
And she'd taken my money, and run off with my best friend's son. |

Now, you can call me a pessimist if it makes it any easier, but let's face it: the world is pretty f*cked right now. And all the new-retro '80s cheery-pop in the world isn't going to stop the fact that we're in a financially-sodomized country run by two-faced thieves and charlatans.
But I wouldn't call us doomed by any stretch. I just think it could be good to face up to the fact a bit more. Put down that La Roux single you're still clutching with feverish optimism and get in touch with your hidden musical grump. |

I've lost my faith in the world and I can't even afford to eat.
The new Charlotte Street Blues Bar is now open, playing live blues seven days a week
