So-New So-Ho
October kicks off with a bang in Soho.

Ah, October.

The month for turning on the heating, staying in with cack tv-talent contests, and dressing up like monsters (or for some, porno versions of public officials – slutty policewoman, slutty lawyer, slutty nurse…). So to save us from ourselves, Soho is making October the month for all things new and exciting.

Starting with a pop–up. Oops. Ok, not new but definitely a bit clever, Quintessentially - the exclusive concierge service - are setting up a three–month members club (for charitable purposes) in The House of St Barnabas, complete with Russell Sage interiors and work by Based Upon, a Dom PĂ©rignon champagne bar, restaurant and money–raising events.

Meanwhile, the new kid on the artsy block is Chapter One Gallery, co–curated by Super Super Magazine’s Luc Le Corre, and intent on giving young, niche talent a space to show and grow, starting with Genesis which features 6 contemporary European artists.

Finally, if you’re hankering after a bite of the Big Apple, it’s time for the Wish You Were Here project to turn tables, bringing shops from New York’s Lower East Side into residence around Newburgh, including Earnest Sewn, In God We Trust and Kaight, as well as a series of events including a good old–fashioned Block party.

Sounds more like treat than trick to us.
