Friday the Thirteenth Screenings
Today Is Boring host and curate film-based events and screenings, featuring rare, underground films and shorts, as well as immersive cinema experiences. Tonight’s movie is the spookily date-specific Friday the Thirteenth, in which a bunch of pesky kids re-open Camp Crystal Lake and all of the former horror that lies within. The film will loop until 10pm, so grab a cocktail and some food and settle in for a nightmare that seemingly never ends.

Break ‘n’ Bowl
Take the laces out of your adidas trainers, slip on a tracksuit, rip the VW signs off your mama’s car and get yo’ asses down to a block rockin' tracksuit party with old school hip hop, break dancing, beat boxing, bowling and rapping karaoke to boot. Oh, and there's a 'gangsta' photobooth, whilst the cinema will be playing hip hop videos all night too. Don your best and brightest number for reduced entry, then hang your head in night-bus home shame.

Bugged Out Presents Boots Camp
Forget school-term nightmares of Boot Camp field days and faux-fatigue uniforms over your scruffy knees – tonight’s Boots Camp plays homage to electro popstrel Little Boots, who’ll be DJing exclusively at the event along with Joe Goddard of Hot Chip fame. There’ll be live performances from Aeroplane and Heartbreak, whilst the venue will be dressed up by Little Boots’ own designer Chrissy for a night of Italo disco and dance. Step to it – in time, mind.

RCA Secret
It’s time to polish your artistic Cluedo skills as the RCA Secret once again opens its door this weekend with over 2,000 postcard-sized pieces of art, which this year include work by Gerhard Richter, Bill Viola, Julian Opie and Grayson Perry. Only you won’t know who’s drawn what – they’re all signed on the back and go on sale on the 21st. Make sure to register for the sale proper by next Tuesday in order to bag a £40 bargain or bust.

The Blagger’s Banquet
The Blaggers’ Banquet will be a 5 course dinner with matched drinks, created entirely by food and drink bloggers, and using only food and drink that they have blagged in aid of Action Against Hunger. Bloggers will be the cooks and the sommeliers, front of house and the prep folk, the kitchen porters and the cleaner uppers, staff the bar, make the cocktails and brew the coffee. There’ll also be an extra auction for random items they’ve blagged along the way.

The Winners and Losers Quiz
Competitive types and those with self-esteem issues might want to think twice about a quiz that’s based on others’ failings and categorises you as either a winner or a loser. Real life quizzer sisters Ruth and Katy will have you in stitches digging deep into the failed pop careers of soap stars, the fashion trends that were never meant to be and the those Tomorrow's World gadgets that never caught on. The taking part counts, sure – but it’s the winning that really matters – after all, you’d hate to be the subject of a ‘losers’ quiz in twenty years time.
