Remember when we asked you to fill in our subscriber survey last summer, whereupon you donned your spectacles, tapped a pen against your forehead and diligently filled in every last detail? Well we haven't forgotten to come good on your requests, dearest readers (although whoever it was that asked for a Sony Playstation, forget it, we're not Santa). “More travel!” you cried, and so here we are – with what we hope will be the first in a brand spanking new series of UJ Travel Guides.

With a load of buzz currently surrounding Vancouver, UJ and Oakley have teamed up to produce a guide to this beautiful city, often lauded as the most liveable city in the world. Packed with insider tips from our moles – where to eat, sleep, drink and dance- as well as ‘UJ Loves' recommendations, timely listings (like Oakley's concept store), events, and product picks - the Vancouver guide will point you in the right direction should you already be Vancouver bound, or hopefully inspire you to make it a trip on your hit list.

We've also included a smaller mountain guide, with listings for the internationally acclaimed Whistler Blackcomb resort, should you be thinking of taking a North American ski trip. And for those of you who want to find some snow closer to home, we've also included a breakdown of our top five European ski destinations, with hot insider tips from Londoners in-the-know and expert guidance from the Oakley crew.

The Clubhouse, Chamonix
