GET LOST
New Lost Island Encounter Golf Course Opens
LOST, the American series set on an anthropomorphic island filled with science stations, a 70’s hippy initiative, and incomprehensibly – polar bears – is finally coming to an end. Did you know that? Have you managed to keep up with the fates of Jack, the hot girl from the Davidoff ads and the guy in the wheelchair? See, even the Oceanic Six’s names escape us, and we used to be die-hard fans.

So this weekend we’re going one better, and rather than boning up on our DHARMA knowledge and trying to figure out the flash forwards, backwards and sideways on Sky, we’re heading to Sidcup for a little island adventure of our own.
Tomorrow sees World of Golf launch their enormous new 36-hole adventure-golf course; Lost Island Encounter. Set on a mysterious island you’ll have to navigate your way (and your little neon ball) through tangled paths and bridges, over waterfalls and lakes, abandoned army jeeps, plantations and caves as well as the requisite intrepid explorer’s plane wreck.
The huge 30-acre site promises to be as slick as any American crazy-golf-counterpart, and as for a thrilling conclusion? Why there’s no sweeter victory than that hole-in-one on a 5-par putt, is there – and no polar bears in sight.

SUNDAY BEST Five central London foodie hangouts now open on Sunday
There’s something decadent about loitering in Fitzrovia or Mayfair on what is, for most, the laziest day of the week. It’s a day more commonly associated with local dining, and often drinking, so why on earth would you schlep into town on the only day you don’t have to? Because it’s a break from the norm. Because it’s just a little bit radical reversing the usual flow of things. And because, as of recently, there are four much-loved, mid-week favourites, and one new posh parkside oasis, that are now opening their doors on the Sabbath. Praise the Lord.
