GET OUT
A new slew of drinking terraces and courtyards to tempt you outwards

We, the undersigned, do hereby and forthwith declare ourselves officially outraged by this monstrosity of a ‘summer’. We work hard all year round, through seasons of unrelenting shades of grey. And all we ask for is one thing – a smattering of sunshine.

Too long have we suffered your cruel torment. Too long have we shivered on the roof at Shoreditch House, gazing jealously at the pool from beneath our wishful Wayfarers.… But you had to push us, didn’t you? With – what is this now, o callous masters – yet more terraces to torment us?

First you throw the verdant comfort of the Langham’s cigar and cocktail terrace, with its bay trees, banquettes and oversized cushions in our pasty faces. Then the new eco-licious terrace at Koko, projecting out beneath their Vegas-style signage just begging for a cinematic long-shot. Even the (sort of) refurbed On The Rocks (everyone deserves a second chance, right?) has its private wee garden/patio for new nights like Kuku (with the Mooch/Redlight/Drama chaps).

So look: until you sort things out, I’m afraid that’s it. We quit. But when you do get yourself in gear, you know where to find us.
