Hot Five Restaurants for ... Contemporary Sushi
Everyone has their preferred traditional sushi spot, whether Sushi Say in Willesden, Asakusa on Mornington Crescent or, my own personal favourite, the Mayfair institution that is Sakura but a wasabi-tinged wave of more contemporary joints, inspired by leader of the pack Nobu, has started to swell and shows no sign of subsiding. Inamo St James - A Fun Night Out
Here at UJ we’re constantly on the look out for more restaurants that are a night out in themselves, in addition to offering a great dining experience - and as such we are very pleased to say that the new Inamo on Lower Regent Street ticks all of the right boxes. Offering the same great menu as its Wardour Street sibling, Inamo St James has really taken it up a notch on the décor front. Think bamboo and soft lighting, with a sexy cocktail bar and DJ booth to bring the place to life. The touch screen tables that slightly irked us on Wardour Street (maybe we are slow; we now seem to get them and actually understand what we're pressing...) really work here and contrast the sleek grown up décor nicely. And should your date be a bore, the tables come with games, a 'chef cam', and even a map of other things in the area to peruse – which sure beats checking old texts on your phone.
