UJ & Paul Smith’s Swim Guide 2011

There’s nothing that gets us quite as excited as the onset of summer: the smell of freshly cut grass, the tickle of a balmy breeze, and long light-filled days. Then of course, there’s the return of all that outdoorsy goodness we’ve so missed: barbeques, open-air cinema, festivals, and the opportunity to get a little wet. Yep, when it gets hot we like nothing better than dipping our toes into some watery refreshment, be it nature’s own rivulets or a posh rooftop pool.

We’ve been so inspired by swimming spots this summer that for April, we’ve teamed up with Paul Smith to create ‘A Bigger Splash’ - our guide to the most exciting and beautiful swimming destinations around the globe. From sky-high horizon pools in Singapore to secret coves in Sardinia, from oriental oasis to cool beach cabanas, we’ve scoured out the best and dug up some UJ top tips to make the most of any visit. In addition, you can browse Paul Smith’s new swimwear collection (men’s & women’s) and decide what to wear to make a serious splash wherever you’re swimming. All of our featured destinations are also home to Paul Smith shops.

You can be part of ‘A Bigger Splash’ too by entering this amazing competition and sharing a photo of your favourite place to swim. It’s easy; dig out your best holiday snap, email it to competitions@paulsmith.co.uk, and if your submission is one of Paul’s favourites it’ll get added to the Paul Smith Facebook Page (www.facebook.com/paulsmithdesign). As if that’s not enough, Paul himself will choose a selection of photos to feature at an exhibition in London, alongside a Facebook ‘fans choice photo’, as voted online by ‘likes’. Winners will be invited to the exhibition and given the opportunity to get their photograph signed by Paul. Paul’s two favourite photos will win a Paul Smith Swim goodie bag worth over £500.
