If you didn’t join the scramble for Ribstock and you missed out on Love Brunch then never fear, we’ve got some other options (if you’re willing to brave the rain) this weekend. Friday sees street food faves at Bermondsey’s StockMKT and Ibiza’s Stef Manni at the Movida reopening, while there’s a block party birthday and ballet on Saturday. On Sunday, hide out at a new Saatchi exhibition or the London Coffee Festival. Otherwise, we suggest you head to Sundance and stay put until the rain stops.

Movida |

The StockMKT is back and it promises to be bigger, bolder and brassier than the last. Our street food faves will be there (Pizza Pilgrims woop!) as well as newcomers Pom Pom Takoyaki and Kebab Kitchen. Peruse the stalls selling anything from art and jewellery to records and antiques, sip cocktails from Kamm and Sons’ BarCycle and get down to tunes from Culture Cuts Collective. Dancing in the street…

Welcome back Movida. After an extensive refurb, the club returns to the West End scene with four different rooms, four bars and a 15m wide video wall, all housed in the vaults of the Palladium Theatre. If you like a pinch of glam with your party (and a lot of neon lighting) then check out opening night ‘Red Light’ with Ibiza heavyweight DJ Stef Manni heading the bill. For guestlist email here.

PARTY:
NTS First Birthday |
DANCE:
A Streetcar Named Desire |
Independent Dalston radio station NTS celebrate their very first birthday this weekend. Things kick off early with a block party outside their HQ until the main celebration - a warehouse party in a secret East London location. Sets range from acid house pioneer A Guy Called Gerald to 70s and 80s electronic pop from NY’s East Village Radio co-founder, Veronica Vasicka. In true birthday style it’s BYOB.

If Brando and Leigh are the only names that spring to mind at the mention of Tennessee Williams’ iconic play, it’s time to switch it up and try something new. Scottish Ballet have devised a dance version set to a specially commissioned jazz-inspired score (no tutus or Tchaikovsky here). Southern belles and sexual tension without the yelling.

The London Coffee Festival |
It’s been a decade since Saatchi’s provocative ‘I Am a Camera’ but they’re still asking questions about the role of photography. This time 38 artists - including Michele Abeles, Leonce Raphael Agbodjélo and Olaf Breuning - are exploring the changing nature of the medium, looking at how evolutions in technology have blurred the boundaries between professional and amateur. Well, what with Instagram and iPhones, everyone thinks they’re a pro.
Cortado, flat white, long, short - whatever your coffee preference, the London Coffee Festival should be a stop-off for any aficionado. Alchemists head to The Lab, foodies go straight for the street food market (hog roast, dim sum or Indian roti wraps), and purists should stay in the True Artisan Café, where London’s best-loved coffee houses will take over the grind in slots (Artisan, Shoreditch Grind and Alchemy Coffee Roasters).
