It's that time of year again. Lights, cameras, front-row surprises, parties and the best of British talent. If you aren't doing the rounds at LFW this year, then there's plenty else on – Hakkasan launches its newest restaurant, a London clubland favourite is back open for business and Wall Street Journal's pop up café wraps up with its last day of events. And our Sunday pickings are all free. Nice. All that and Mexican food tonight. 123… TEQUILA!

PARTY:
Brick Lane Festival |
The Hakkasan Group are at it again. This time they've brought Michelin-starred chef Yoshihiro Murata (he has seven stars across three restaurants in Japan) over to open their latest venture Chrysan. He's the master of kaiseki (haute cuisine), so expect much of the same but with locally sourced produce (he even travelled to the coasts of the British Isles to sample fish) and local chefs. Tokyo-via-London – we love. |
If you're still after your festival fix, get down to Brick Lane for a two-day music freebie. With Roots Manuva's DJ headlining at the Big Chill and cameos from Livin' Proof's DJ Khalil, Boiler Room's Thristian and Mr Wonderful, get ready for nothing less than classic hip hop, jazz and funky beats. And don't miss David Rodigan at the Vibe bar. |

Dezeen Super Store at Seven Dials |
FILM:
Max Hattler @ KXFS |
Head to Seven Dials for your fill of London Design Festival. Not only will there be unique aerial artwork in the streets by the likes of Faye Toogood, Paul Cocksedge, Dom Wilcox and Phillipe Malouin, Dezeen also have a pop up "micro department store". Expect exclusive product launches, an exhibition space, The Temporium (with objects picked by the Dezeen team) as well as a watch store (Uniform Wares, Braun). |
If you haven't had a chance to check out Shrimpy's or KXFS, now's your chance. A never-before-seen film by award winning visual artist Max Hattler will be shown on a giant screen of water, rising from Regent's Canal. Described as a "psychedelic geometric ballet", with abstract shapes playing out into "a circus of super energised movement and colour", the animation will be projected onto a high-powered jet of water that forms a 10x15 metre screen. Confused? Watch a sneak preview here. |
