We want pared-down, do-it-yourself easiness, especially when it comes to food and drink. Good timing then, for the arrival of the interactive pairing service from the Australian inimitable combo John Torode and Neil McGuigan (of McGuigan Wines, recent winner of International Winemaker of the year). The Neil McGuigan and John Torode Collection takes your personal food and wine preferences and gives you suggestions for cooking from scratch, at home. Unsure of what complements your Cab Sauv? John and Neil have got it down. To launch the service the pair is hosting a one-day pop up kitchen in central London. Oenophiles and novices alike will have a chance to sample John & Neil’s food and wine pairings, tasting and commenting on different combinations in a laid-back environment (and the opportunity to quiz Neil and John).
