Testino in LA |
After a seven-year hiatus, celebrated photographer Mario Testino returns to America thanks to Prism gallery in LA. Hosting a retrospective of Testino's work, expect to view not just the artist's most commanding images and personal works that have spanned his career, but also the photographs that have made him a firm favourite amongst Voguettes (Kate Moss, Carine Roitfeld et al) and British Royalty. |

EAT:
MASTER & SERVANT |
Hennes & Mauritz aka the Swedish wizards of Cos, H&M and Cheap Monday, have cast another sartorial spell on us with new womenswear brand & Other Stories, a clothing line detailed with the Scandi aesthetic we all know and love (sans the price tag). This is a notch above H&M's fast-fashion mainline and sits just below trendy sister Cos. Stockholm spring wardrobe? Yes please. |
Another Manhattan-inspired eatery is hitting East London. This time it's from Matt Edwards (previously of St John and Hix Soho) and will feature a seasonal menu centred around a charcoal grill and spit. Expect hearty classics like surf clam chowder, crab claws, saltmarsh spring lamb chops and pistachio doughnuts. European wines will feature on a regularly changing 40-strong bin list, and the cocktail menu is a collaboration with neighbours Happeness Forgets. |

BREAKFAST:
EMBASSY EAST |
PARTY:
ReviveHer x Phonica |
We're always happy to hear about new breakfast spots. Hoxton's latest, Embassy East, is run by three ex-Flat Whiters and sources all its coffee from local faves Workshop Coffee Co. – their current choice is a Bolivian blend. The breakfast menu focuses on simple, local and quality dishes (and bread): think toasted sourdough, cheese toasties, pastries (from Yeast Bakery), sausage and (not your usual) beans, sardines on toast… and homemade cereal milk a la Momofuku. #UJLoves. |
If a blowout is on the weekend menu, do so at Corsica Studios. Ukranian modern-house DJ and producer Vakula is finally headlining at Phonica's party (after previously trying and failing to play Fabric and Sankeys due to Visa issues) with ReviveHer. Expect soulful-sass from the pedigree DJ with support from Magic Mountain High (Move D and Juju and Jordash) and Baltimore's Maurice Fulton. |

EAT:
FEAST |
FILM:
OZ |
Chow down on London's best eats at foodie festival FEAST, where a veritable smörgåsbord of culinary delights will be offered: Wright Bros, Anna Maes, Mishkins, Elliots, Caravan and Miss Manchu is just the start. There's also live music and cocktails (we're thinking Bloody Marys all round). You'll find us splitting time between Bone Daddies' ramen and Hix's extra-special fish dog. Food coma incoming. |
Then onto some Sunday fantasy chez Disney. The prequel to the Wizard of Oz sees small-town magician Oscar Diggs (the ubiquitous James Franco) hurled into Oz where he meets three witches – Kunis, Weisz and Williams, respectively – who aren't convinced he is the great wizard they've been waiting for. If not for the A-list creds go for the Gary Jones-designed costumes and shoes by Nicolas Kirkwood. Stay tuned for his Oz-inspired capsule collection for Selfridges in April. |
