The Easter bumper special has arrived… and if you're staying here this weekend then relish the empty streets! It begins and ends with eating – brunch, rooftop, Italian feast, Taiwanese street food and a Chinese classic – with full pelt partying (block, hotel and warehouse options), shopping and drinking in between. And of course, Easter eggs sweet and savoury. The weekend starts now, kids. |

Tonight they're hosting a shopping event in their Dover Street store to celebrate the arrival of the SS13 collections (think prints, strong lines and sports luxe looks for both men and women). There'll be a complimentary cocktail bar, DJ set from Spector, a competition to win a £1000 shopping spree and 30% off all purchases made on the night. Spring wardrobe, we're coming for you. |

Japanese Record Shop at LN-CC |
Alternatively, head to another store tonight. LN-CC is hosting forward-thinking DJ Chee Shimizu's Tokyo-based online record shop Organic Music. Rare Japanese records will be on sale followed by an intimate listening sesh in the club (and plenty of Asahi). This is Chee's third and largest curation of Japanese records that date back to the 70s through to the 90s. Next week the records will be live for sale on LN-CC's website, but we'd rather hear before we buy. |

Or, go for lobster with a view. The Boundary Rooftop is open again with a new addition – a weatherproof pergola! (Fitting for winter in March.) Open daily, come here for breakfast smoothies or your Good Friday late lunch of seafood cooked on the open grill – salmon, whole lobster, yellowfin tuna and shrimp – and fast-flowing wine. GEOFFREY FARMER: The Surgeon and the Photographer |
Sponsored listing |
Only a month ago, The Curve was filled with continuously falling rain in the critically acclaimed Rain Room; now the space has been transformed to house 365 puppet-like figures for the UK premiere of Geoffrey Farmer's The Surgeon and the Photographer. Composed of images cut from old books and magazines, then mounted onto fabric forms, the piece is accompanied by a new film commission. Farmer's work blends the collage and assemblage traditions of Hannah Höch and Robert Rauschenberg; the element of chance employed by John Cage and "Merce" Cunningham; and an animist perspective from Pacific Northwest coast cultures. |

EAT:
BOCCA DI LUPO EASTER MENU |
PARTY:
CONCRETE BLOCK PARTY |
Round up the friends and family at Bocca di Lupo for a blow out Easter feast. The special, à la carte menu is inspired by the different regions of Italy and includes the aptly named Baby Chick (grilled poussain), Easter Bunny (poached rabbit), March Hare (with egg pasta) and Baby Kid (sheep's milk ricotta dumplings). If you're not full after dessert (sweet ricotta, wholegrain wheat and candied orange tart) then head across the road to Gelupo for their modern take on the Easter egg. |
Shake up the neighbourhood and kick it old-school with Concrete's party on the block. Vogue to beats from the 80s, hip-hop into the 90s and grind your way through the noughties, courtesy of DJs Jason Taylor, Jack Swallow and Tayo3000, who'll be delivering beats from everyone from Cutty Ranks to Kanye. Strap up those Reeboks and look sharp. |

Easter Egg |

We've searched high and low for the best Easter egg… and we've found it in Paris by chocolatiers À la Mère de Famille (though Liberty's "quail" eggs are a close runner up). |

DESIGN:
DESIGNS OF THE YEAR 2013 |
Easter Sunday… eating again. Hop to the Fat Cheeks pop up and enjoy not only a Sunday Roast with all the trimmings but some added extras: think serenade performances from bossa nova jazz and opera singers, while Chef Rolan Dack (previous stints include Restaurant Gordon Ramsay and Zuma) carves the meat. And in between meals: a palette-cleansing mango egg. |
If you missed the designs of 2012, now's your chance to view them ALL in one fell swoop at the Design Museum. Take a cultural vacay around the world as you stroll through the design map from the last 12 months, spanning seven categories, from architecture to fashion. Expect to spot the Louis Vuitton collection by Yayoi Kusama, Zaha Hadid's Galaxy Soho building in Beijing and, of course, some nouveau designs such as a non-stick ketchup bottle. Finally. |

MONDAY PICK |

Beagle Bar |
You love Krankbrother for their parties on rooftops, yachts, in warehouses and even forgotten basements. Now, they've opened Beagle in Shoreditch. Expect not only a unique location under renovated railway arches but also a shiny restaurant, bar and coffee shop. The bar opens its doors this weekend, and with mixologist Myles Davies (formerly of Viajante and Hix) behind the cocktail menu, you can expect a twist on classics. Those nursing post-Sunday party heads should try the Snapper, a gin variation of the Bloody Mary. |

RE-OPENING |
Mr Chow |
Ciao again, Chow. The Cantonese restaurant for the glitterati (perhaps in part a legacy of his ex-wife, Grace Coddington) is back open for business – think suited waiters, Versace-clad diners, prized artwork – and, as before, not a chopstick in sight. Though the décor might be a trip to Milan, the food (again, much like before) takes your buds straight to Beijing, from the black cod fillets in Szechuan sauce to the famed green prawns dish, an invention based on the equally famous portrait "Mr Chow as Green Prawns" hanging in the Beverly Hills outpost. Ask for the Mr Chow noodle demonstration, though there may be sprays of flour. |
