There’s been a lot of gin love in London lately, and nothing marks the arrival of summer like a classic gin and tonic. With mint, over lime or naked, it’s universal – for garden parties, al fresco dining or weekend trips. Our favourite G&T has to be the Spanish style – in a balloon glass with plenty of ice.
Bombay Sapphire is leading the revival of the Ultimate G&T, using a specially created balloon glass (we’re happy) to capture the bright, fresh aromas of the drink. They are hosting a pop up Gin Garden Botanical Experience at The Hoxton Hotel, where you can sit among the botanical flora while exploring what makes a great G&T. You can experience masterclasses, a menu of special Bombay Sapphire Infusions (go herby or fruity) and fragrance sessions. You can also book in privately for three cocktails plus canapés in the garden.
If you miss The Gin Garden masterclasses, then no worries, Ultimate G&T workshops with Bombay Sapphire’s mixologist, Sam Carter, will also be running at the hotel’s new Apartment Kitchen throughout June (it’s also a chance to check out Soho House’s chic new Apartment space). Stay tuned for our very own UJ Ultimate G&T workshop on June 4, as well as our special gin-centric guest edited weekend guides.
Sipping on gin and juice is so passé.
