We've heard the tunes, seen the glitter balls and spied some shiny fabrics on the runways—D-I-S-C-O fever is raging. But stave off thoughts of John Travolta, Saturday Night Fever and discotheques. This is Disco 2.0. And keeping the beat going throughout the summer comes Skate King's Cross, an eight-week pop-up roller rink, smack bang in the middle of King's Cross.

Paying homage to the days of roller disco but with a 2013 twist, the roller rink will have you gliding in a futuristic gold chainmail rink to disco tunes with special nights on the weekends. Eating and drinking comes courtesy of Disco Bistro with a weekly changing menu – think Disco Wings, burgers and hard milkshakes. And yes, there will be strobe lights, lots of them.

To kick start the summer of free-wheeling, we will be hosting a VIP preview party at Skate King's Cross on Thursday, July 11. Expect an all-round disco-fuelled shake down with tunes by Monarchy and Solar DJs, great food, and free-flowing drinks.

Gold hot pants optional but preferred.

To enter for a pair of tickets please email skate@urbanjunkies.com with your name. You will be notified by July 8 if you are successful.

To get in the mood for the evening, take a listen to our exclusive mix by J Saintil.
