Here at UJ, we love to get away. Mini-break here, extended weekend there; anything we can fit in. But lately we've been thinking it would be nice for something a bit longer. Two weeks is what we were going for, but a working adult gap year, somewhere interesting – now that would be ideal. Which is why if we could DJ, we know what we'd be doing this month.
The brand new W Verbier (opening December 2013) is looking for a resident DJ to ski all day spin all night. Building on W Hotels Worldwide's credible DJ program — DJ Lab, Who's in Town — W Verbier is looking for an amazing forward-thinking DJ who would work well with the brand and really get involved with all things W Verbier, helping to create what is sure to be the hottest spot in the Swiss Alps.
The chosen Resident DJ will spin five days a week creating the sound of the hotel's après ski and beyond. They'll spin in Carved – the hotel's nightclub, the living room, the outdoor bar on the Place Blanche and be a real figurehead at all events. They will also create mixes for the W music app – a UJ fave – and will work with the marketing team to create the sound for ongoing 'W Happenings'. And of course, they'll also get to spend a season skiing/snowboarding at one of the world's top ski resorts. Semi-finalists will be involved in a selection process in London early November, but more on that in due time. All we can say for now is that the process will be exciting from start to finish, with amazing exposure opportunities throughout.
