Lately in London it's been all about experimental cocktails with odd ingredients (chicken bone, anyone?), OTT gimmicks (whole peanuts in mugs, boozy popsicles in boots), and weird mixers (Coors Light, meet Champagne). But sometimes, there's nothing better than an old favourite, and a Gin & Tonic - with a little twist - is just what we're craving.
Luckily, we've joined forces with gin masters Bombay Sapphire to bring you 10 Ultimate Gin & Tonic recipes, inspired by the tastes of 10 hand-picked Imagineers (a.k.a. London's cultural trailblazers, including Holly Fulton, Kaz James and Carl Clarke) along with their Gin & Tonic soundtracks. We've put all of it into a shiny new website. Best of all, the Bombay Sapphire Ultimate Gin & Tonic recipes are downloadable. So all you need is some mixing mojo, glassware (the Bombay Sapphire balloon glass is our pick), and the ability to follow a recipe…easy! From spicy to sweet, expect to find delicious concoctions here. Ingredients include chillies and honeycomb ice cream, cantaloupe and pistachios, yum.
To celebrate our partnership with Bombay Sapphire, the Imagineers, and of course, the Ultimate Gin & Tonics, we're heading to the Wine Shop at Selfridges on December 10 and 11, and you're invited. Join us for bespoke bottle engraving and receive a complimentary limited edition copy* of The Ultimate Gin & Tonic recipe book, featuring all 10 of the Imagineers' recipes (yes, we've gone old-school and printed hard copies). See you there!
