We all have our summer secrets. The little rooftop bar here, hidden garden terrace there. And now we're about to share one of ours… Rosewood London. Have you been? Just a hop, skip and a jump away from Covent Garden. The first time we visited its shiny lobby we said this is what 2014 luxury is. And breathe.
Holborn Dining Room, Rosewood London's British Brasserie, is having its tranquil courtyard terrace transformed this summer to become The Bombay Sapphire Ultimate Gin & Tonic Terrace. Inspired by the ten exotic botanicals at the heart of Bombay Sapphire and the journey taken to the ends of the earth to source them, this six-week long pop-up creatively explores the regions travelled. This voyage of discovery will be brought to life by the wonderfully intricate, hand-illustrated designs of Jonathan Chadwick.
Every day from midday to late night, this sanctuary will be serving an intriguing menu of gin and tonic twists inspired by the aromas and flavours of The Mediterranean, Africa and Asia, including the 'Sense of Place® Gin & Tonic Twist', which draws on the shared British locale of Rosewood London and Bombay Sapphire. Using unexpected ingredients like rhubarb and pink grapefruit, it's a nod to all things British.
Bombay Sapphire UK Brand Ambassador Sean Ware will be on hand every Tuesday and Wednesday from 5-7PM to take guests on an interactive journey through the world of Bombay Sapphire, offering the opportunity to touch, smell and taste the aromatic botanicals which are vapour infused to create the unique bright, fresh taste of Bombay Sapphire. There will also be live music and other surprises throughout the residency; follow @BSapphireGinUK on twitter for updates.
