SATURDAY EAT: Kanada Ya Ramen Bar EAT: Krug and Krustacean Giving Tonkotsu a healthy serve of competition comes Kanada-Ya Ramen. They too have a noodle machine (hard to get, apparently) and pride themselves on their pork bone broth but they digress via a 3-part USP. First, they have the 'secret sauce' imported from Japan, secondly they wash all stock bones before boiling to "remove any impurities" and finally, you get to choose your noodle consistency – bouncy, firm or both – the choice is yours. Itadakimasu! Champagne and shellfish, it never gets old. And celebrating the age-old pairing comes Krug and Krustacean. From the guys behind Burger & Lobster and Beast, the five-day pop up is all about the finer things in life: Krug Grand Cuvee paired with king crab, to be precise.
