FRIDAY

EAT:
Rex & Mariano
  EAT:
The Richmond

It’s Good Friday! So go for a languid seafood brunch at Rex & Mariano. Affordable but quality seafood is the name of the game here – go all in. Start with oysters, ceviche, carpaccio and tartare before getting stuck into the grill menu: think red salty prawns carb cakes, and hot buttered mussels. Don’t skimp on the sides.   Sticking to seafood for dinner? New Hackney spot The Richmond is our new go-to for just that. Their new raw bar is complete with, once again,  all the usual suspects of oysters, carpaccios, prawns, ceviche… the list goes on. Or, for those who want a more traditional main meal, try the Nduja-spiced seafood stew. Wash it all down with fast-flowing negronis on tap.

Livin' Proof Easter Special

Easter Sunday… more food. The new Ivy Chelsea Garden comes up trumps with its alfresco seating. It’s the biggest outdoor dining spot in London, so they say – and it is indeed impressive. The menu covers everything from breakfast pastries to a full English and eggs done all ways; at 11.30am, the all day menu kicks in (crispy duck salad, lobster rigatoni bake, suckling pig belly…).   Now for a hip hop blow out with Livin’ Proof and Nobody’s Business at the Bussey Building. Although we’re not sure who the special guests are yet, the collective have brought over everyone from A$AP ROCKY to Dom Kennedy and Alchemist, so expect the usual explosive vibes.
