In London, classic cocktails have been having a moment – negronis, old fashioneds, martinis – but for summer, the Gin & Tonic reigns supreme. Classic or infused and with a twist: nothing beats it – especially when you have some of the world’s most creative bartenders in charge. Which is exactly what you will get come June 4, when Bombay Sapphire hosts the World’s Most Imaginative Bartender competition.
Known for searching for and supporting innovation, Bombay Sapphire aims to unearth the heroes of the drinks industry and their creative twists on the Ultimate Gin & Tonic in this competition – and for the first time ever, you’re invited. Bombay Sapphire is offering 25 Urban Junkies readers and their guests the chance to attend the final – a ‘money can’t buy’ private experience.
Go behind the scenes of the competition and watch the final three international finalists battle it out to be crowned the Bombay Sapphire World’s Most Imaginative Bartender for 2015. Sample the various cocktails and Ultimate Gin & Tonic Twists created by all eight contestants throughout the competition and learn tricks of the trade from the expert mixers and shakers. Plus, last year’s WMIB UK winner Rich Woods, head bartender at Duck and Waffle, will be on hand providing masterclasses and teaching a range of Ultimate Gin & Tonic Twists, including his winning recipe from last year’s competition, the English Garden Gin & Tonic. Gin O’clock starts now.
