Halloween in London: it’s all cheesy club nights, ‘spooktaculars’, and masked balls – but, what’s really missing is glamour. High fashion, Champagne clinking glamour. Until now. Thanks to Nick Knight, one of the world’s most influential photographers, and Veuve Clicquot, this year, Halloween goes high octane with a one-night only immersive exhibition.
Held in The College, formerly home to Central Saint Martins, in homage to the late, great Madame Clicquot, the woman responsible for the creation of the House of Veuve Clicquot, the abandoned fashion space will once again be filled with creative spirit. Fashion will meet film, art and music. The ethos of the night: 'let life surprise you'.
What we do know: medium-shattering SHOWstudio, founded and directed by Nick Knight, will be premiering five of their specially commissioned haunting fashion films. There will be a series of curated rooms by pioneering artists, filmmakers and designers including Lady Amanda Harlech, taxidermist Rose Robson and UJ fave fashion designer Gareth Pugh. Tunes will be courtesy of club kids Josh Quinton (of Disco Smack) and Charles Jeffrey (founder of LOVERBOY club night). The drinks list is (obviously) curated by Veuve Clicquot. This is a one - night only affair, and we have a select number of tickets for UJ readers.
Book a complimentary walk through from 8-10pm, and widow the night away at the Veuve Clicquot bar.
