It’s a festival off! Field Day vs Found with Lovebox and BST Hyde Park around the corner… time to get organised. With that in mind, if you’re heading to Field Day this weekend, we’ve rounded up our must see and dos. Not hitting the festival circuit this weekend? We’ve still got our usual pick ‘n’ mix of happenings, which includes vermouth, poké and more vermouth. Enjoy!

| Top 5 performances at Field Day | | | | 1. Unless you were at his incredible Village Underground show, Field Day is the only place to see James Blake in London this summer, on the Saturday night
2. Also playing live on Saturday across various stages: Skepta, Four Tet, Deerhunter and Yeasayer
3. It’s also the best way to remind yourself how amazing PJ Harvey can be in the blistering sun (we can hope!). She performs Sunday
4. Aside from the vocalists, look out for the likes of KiNK live on the Saturday. And there’s plenty more where that came from
5. And if you’re STILL going at midnight, head to Oval Space, where Roman Flugel and the incomparable DJ Koze will DJ until the sun comes up

| Friday | | | | | | EAT: | | DRINK: | Tombo, Poké & Matcha Bar | | The Remedy’s new vermouth menu | | The poké trend continues. This week, we’ll be getting our fix via Tombo, Poke & Matcha Bar. Serving up all manners of the Hawaiian staple, the buildable poké bowls will be made of salmon, tuna, prawn, kimchee, avocado and edamame served over black and white or sushi rice or courgette noodles – the choice is yours. As for your matcha fix? There are sundaes, lattes, brownies, cakes… you get the picture.
| | Speaking of trends, here’s another one: vermouth. This week, we’re getting a taste of it via The Remedy’s new vermouth cocktail menu. Pull up a stool and make your way through the eight new cocktails, made from a selection of over 25 vermouths. Not your tonic? Stick to The Remedy’s biodynamic wine list – it’s one of the best in the city.

| Saturday | | | | | | EAT: | | DRINK: | Farley Macallan | | The Dog House | | More biodynamic wine. This time from new restaurant and wine bar Farley Macallan. Opened by Luke Ramsden, who earned his stripes via the Arts Club and Home House, the new neighbourhood spot in Hackney’s Mornington Lane boasts an excellent and reasonably priced wine list curated by sommelier Mark Sheppard (previously of Majestic Wine), cocktails and a menu courtesy of E5 Smokehouse.
| | If you’re looking for the lighter side of an Italian meal, try The Doghouse. Below Italian restaurant Bernardi’s is where you’ll find the easy menu of antipasti, pizzette and cicchetti, best paired with their range of cocktails, such as the Amante (Stellacello, Villa Zarri brandy, fresh grapefruit), selection of negronis and vermouths (again!). | Sunday | | | | | | TRY: | | SEE: | New menu at Eyre Brothers | | Running Wild | | An oldie but a goodie, after 15 years, Eyre Brothers is finally opening for lunch. Head in for a leisurely lunch and make your way through the menu of Portuguese and Spanish dishes such as acorn-fed Ibérico shoulder ham, Portuguese salt cod and Galician style octopus. Tapas also features heavily on the menu; so do robust wines and cocktails. Enjoy!
| | Grab your ponchos, because ‘tis the season for some open-air culture. And we’re choosing Samuel Adamson’s adaptation of Running Wild at Regents Park’s Open Air Theatre to kick start the season. The story, played out with impressive animal puppetry (like Warhorse), has remained true to the original plot: elephants, tsunamis, baby orangutans… And it should go without saying, but don’t forget to pre-order your picnic hamper.
