Glastonbury, Pride, the Referendum, there’s a lot to celebrate (hopefully… #voteremain). That said, we’re not going too crazy this weekend, well, aside from Pride, an after party, and some standard drinking, that includes all kinds of sake. Instead, we’re concentrating on food. From London’s best sandwiches to Puglian specialities, American/Italiano classics and an izakaya mash up, we’re eating our way around the world this weekend. Bring it on!

| Friday | | | | | | EAT: | | DRINK | Night Tales | | Mason & Company | | Our favourite night market, Night Tales, is back and in a new location. Now in Hackney Wick, you can expect its usual standout setting (remember its Japanese incarnation?) and some summer additions: summer terraces, bars with sun decks, a sand pit and, of course, cocktail bars (including Richie Hawtin’s Enter.Sake), an outdoor dance floor and a plethora of street food vendors, including New York pizza guys Slice Guys and Jamaican shack Rudies.
| | While you’re in the Wick, pop over to Mason & Company for some beer and Italian-American fare at the new craft beer and kitchen by dream team Hackney’s Five Points Brewing Company and Rachel Jones, founder of street food stall Capish?. Choose from over 20 draught taps or a range of bottled and canned brews and make your way through the menu of fusion Italiano dishes such as veal chop pizzaiola, fried chicken cacciatore and homemade meatball subs. Cap things off with some tiramisu doughnuts, because… well, tiramisu doughnuts.

| Veuve Clicquot The Secret Garden at Four Seasons | | Sponsored Listing | | | | Even if the weather won’t play ball, we’re still going to act like its summer. And thanks to Veuve Clicquot, we’ll be doing so by drinking Champagne on ice on a terrace. Specifically, ‘Veuve Clicquot RICH’, the new experimental champagne where you customise the flavour from a pick ‘n’ mix of garnishes (UJ loves the pineapple concoction) in The Secret Garden at Four Seasons Hotel London on Park Lane. Two minutes from Hyde Park, this central location has been decorated with flowers and monogrammed cushions, throws and umbrellas; there’s also an all day summer menu to accompany the Veuve ‘RICH’ cocktails (which includes Veuve Clicquot Rose, which, if you haven’t tried it, is a must) with light bites and sharing plates of seabass carpaccio and crab tortellini. Summer in the city, it is happening.
| | | Veuve Clicquot ‘The Secret Garden’ at Four Seasons, is open daily from 12pm until 11pm and operates a no-booking policy. For group bookings please call 020 7319 5206 or visit www.fourseasons.com/london

| Saturday | | | | | | EAT: | | PARTY: | Ostuni Highgate | | Straight Nasty at Vogue Fabrics | | Can’t make it to Southern Italy this summer? Us neither. So instead, we’re doing Ostuni via Highgate. The second branch of the hugely popular Puglian restaurant in Queen’s Park is set to channel the same vibes as a traditional trullo – you know the look: distressed furniture, Puglian dry stone and limestone. As for the food, it’s all about regional pastas and dishes from the wood fire grill.
| | Don your rainbow stripes and head to Vogue Fabrics for Straight Nasty’s Pride afterparty, where the sweat infused fabulous basement will be pulsating to pop anthems: Beyonce, J Lo, Madge, Olivia Newton-John – the whole gang. Dance, grind, twerk, and snog because, if nothing else, #lovewins.
