| Friday | | | | | | EAT: | | SEE: | Kiln | | Lights of Soho | | A heads up for fans of Smoking Goat, their highly anticipated second restaurant, kiln – is open. It’s a ‘side-of-the-road-type restaurant’ with a focus on claypot cooking. Expect lines to form (no reservations, we know!) for lamb skewers served with chilli, cumin and fresh Szechuan pepper, curried cockles, roasted goose… the list goes on. Plus, there’ll be a daily noodle dish, such as pressed duck gravy noodles, made by the juices of roasted duck carcasses crushed in a custom-built press. Serious business.
| | For a round up of the best talent in the neon art biz, head to Lights of Soho’s second annual open submission show, “Darkness cannot drive out darkness, only light can do that”. Thirty artists and over 40 artworks will be exhibited, including The ‘Prince of London Pop Art’ Philip Colbert and Olivia Steele – who has displayed works across the world from Burning Man festival to the Guggenheim. The best bit? All artworks are for sale, starting at £300.

| BOMBAY SAPPHIRE PRESENTS | | ‘ARTISTRY OF THE ULTIMATE GIN & TONIC’ | | NETTLE BEER COLLINS AT SAGER & WILDE PARADISE ROW BY MARCIS DZELZAINIS | | Sponsored Listing | | | | It doesn’t take much convincing to get us to Sager & Wilde Paradise Row so the Nettle Beer Collins is just another reason. Concocted by Marcis Dzelzainis, this is a twist on the classic G&T, but with a focus on the tonic. With the idea of reviving the health benefits of tonic before it became an industrialised soft drink, Marcis has created his own tonic with lemon juice and sugar syrup. To re-create the Ultimate Gin & Tonic, he simply added a splash of Bombay Sapphire and topped it with nettle beer. Perfect.
| | | Sager + Wilde Paradise Row, Arch, 250 Paradise Row, E2 9LE
The ‘Nettle Beer Collins’ cocktail will be available at Sager + Wilde Paradise Row until 11th January 2017. Watch this space for further information on ‘Artistry of the Ultimate Gin and Tonic’ serves available in individual partner mixology artists’ bars across London

| Saturday | | | | | | EAT: | | PARTY: | Mamalan | | Unleash 5th Birthday | | With four dumpling shops already under their belt (Dalston, Clapham, Brixton and East Village), you should know what to expect from Mamalan’s fifth opening in Shoreditch. Think handmade dumplings, comforting noodle dishes, simple skewers and an extensive street food and salad menu. We hear the cocktails have been given a shake up – we can’t wait to try the Bull In A China Shop, a boozy twist on a homemade jasmine iced tea. Officially opening on Oct 13 with a soft launch offer of 50% off the food bill for the week.
| | If the last five years are anything to go by, the Unleash 5th Birthday party will be a big ‘un. As always, expect a monster lineup playing good-time electro all night. As for us, we’ll be skipping the official birthday bash and going straight to the afterparty – with a maximum capacity of 200, we’re hoping for some classic house party vibes. | Sunday | | | | | | EAT: | | DO: | Breakfast at Morito | | Fabric Pop-Up + Terry Francis DJ Set at Camden Market | | We love Morito on Hackney Road. So we love the news that it’s now open for breakfast on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Homemade granola with cardamom, yoghurt, pomegranates and pistachios; poached eggs with spinach, chilli butter, seasoned yogurt and crispy sage; and traditional Turkish menemem sausage – we love it all. The juices are worth a mention, too.
