Happy Thanksgiving! Or not. We’re still not quite sure. But we’re definitely up for some pre-Christmas mood lifters – and we’re thankful we’ve got lots of choice on that front. We’re checking out a one-man show that’s about all things American (sorta), as well as the new digs for one of our favourite museums. In between, there’s always crate-digging at Independent Label Market, and, well, wine by delivery, should none of these things tick the box.

| Friday | | | | | | SEE: | | DANCE: | American Man | | Tchami & guests | | Yes, it’s Thanksgiving weekend… but we’re still not sure what to make of all the recent political events. Thanks to Hetain Patel’s one-man show at Sadler’s Wells, American Man, which ends tonight, we can escape reality for a few hours. It builds on the critically acclaimed American Boy, imagining a not-so-unimaginable future where Barack Obama is CEO of Apple, and Stephen Hawking and Oprah Winfrey shape policy.
| | If you haven’t heard of Tchami, well, he’s from Paris, Diplo loves him, and tix for his show tonight at Electric Brixton are already on third release (get some in, quick). It promises to be a fun-loving, vibrant, explosive night, with sets by The Magician, George Kwali, and more. Need we keep talking? See you there!

| Saturday | | | | | | EAT: | | GO: | Bad Sports | | Independent Label Market | | We’ve been talking about taquerias for a while now, and we’ll definitely be adding this place – currently in soft launch mode – to the list (have you seen their branding? #UJloves). We’re loving the sounds of dishes such as the Al Pastor taco, featuring acorn-fed Iberico pork, and when we’re all fuelled up, you’ll find us in the downstairs sports bar.

| Sunday | | | | | | VISIT: | | ORDER: | #newdesignmuseum | | Wine from Drop | | ICYMI (but we doubt you did), the Design Museum shut its Shad Thames doors at the end of June – and has now, finally opened the doors to its new, swanky digs on High Street Ken in the former Commonwealth Institute. Originally opened by Terence Conran in 1989, the museum’s new home is a Grade II* listed 1960s building, converted by John Pawson with triple the space for exhibitions, including one permanent display and two temporary exhibitions, Fear and Love: Reactions to a Complex World, and the ninth roundup of its popular Designs of the Year.

Top quality, expertly chosen, great value wines, to be more precise – delivered wherever you’d like (seriously, even a picnic rug, they say), with no minimum spend.
