| The Breakfast Club | | | | You’ve heard it before (and probably more times than you care to remember) – breakfast is the most important meal of the day. And to that end, we’re never going to give up Dean Street Townhouse, The Wolseley or Nopi, but we’re welcoming some new spots for breakfast – and breakfast meetings – too. Start your mornings off right with sweet egg waffle cones straight from Hong Kong, a slice of Paris in Bloomsbury and the newest member of the Village London family.
| | Bon Vivant is bringing French flavour to Bloomsbury. Just around the corner from King’s Cross, it’s the place to get your continental breakfast before a trip across the channel (or satisfy your cravings without having to hop on a Eurostar). Get down from tomorrow until the 23rd Feb for 50% off during their soft launch. Their Instagram told us to go French ourselves: this isn’t your average patisserie.
The Riding House Cafe and Village East are old stalwarts in our books. Now, meet their younger sibling the Rail House Cafe, located within Victoria’s new foodie haven Nova. Not your typical breakfast affair, we can’t wait to sample the burgerdict: an American twist on classic eggs benedict. With an upstairs bar, raised private dining room and huge outdoor area, we’ve already penciled this in for the summer.
Some days, savoury just won’t cut it in the AM. Just around the corner from UJ HQ, on Wardour Street, Bubblewrap have set up camp. Famous for their sweet, Hong Kong-style egg waffle cones, this is the place to pair your cocoa or matcha waffle with ice cream and go wild with a choice of 14 different toppings. Stay tuned for their opening date – we hear they’ll be offering two-for-one on all of their wraps in the first two weeks.
