Spring is in the air – and even if it’s not 100% legs-out weather yet, we’re in the mood. We’ve done our spring cleaning, and we’re ready for some newness – new art for our walls on Friday, a new swish restaurant to check out on Saturday and a new, very-homely exhibition for Sunday. And in between them all, we’ve rounded up our top 5 yum cha destinations – chopsticks at the ready.

VISIT:GO:
THE OTHER ART FAIRA HOME FOR ALL

We may have overdone our annual spring clean – hey, it felt right at the time and nothing was sparking joy! – which means our walls and wardrobes are now looking a little bare. The remedy: Saatchi Art’s 16th annual The Other Art Fair, which returns to Victoria House this weekend with pieces by 130 next-gen YBAs, all handpicked by a committee of industry experts. There are also talks throughout the weekend, too, if you’re not in the market for a new wall-hanging (though surely you can find a spare square foot of space). From Wednesdays to Saturdays until June, Selfridges’ lower ground floor has been transformed into a home dedicated to all things, well, home, complete with set design by Nicola Yeoman (who’s collaborated with Mario Testino, Sam Taylor Wood and Miles Aldridge). In partnership with The New Craftsmen, A Home For All shines the spotlight on domestic rituals ranging from bread-baking to rug-weaving, with a program of workshops and discussions to match. Reservations required.

EAT:DANCE:
ISABELKNEE DEEP AT PRINTWORKS

Casa Cruz: been there, done that, still love it. Now, Juan Santa Cruz, the Chilean entrepreneur behind the Notting Hill restaurant, has opened Isabel in Mayfair. It’s his fourth (his first two are in Buenos Aires) and we love its 70s-inspired interior with Chinoiserie and Art Deco influences, the cozy bar downstairs complete with velvet banquettes – and the fact that the staff all wear Colombian designer Johanna Ortiz (reason enough to get a job there, no?). Tuck into small plates of Mediterranean-meets-Argentine fare such as veal ragu gnocchi, grilled courgette with mint and lemon, and Cruz’s famous blackened chicken – but save room for the pear tarte tatin. Daytime partying: always! Knee Deep in Sound – Hot Since 82’s label and party – is coming back to London with its biggest show to date at Printworks. Expect a mashup of the UK and European house scenes with Hot Since 82 joined by Moon Harbour Records’ Matthias Tanzmann, Mathias Kaden, Livio & Roby and Butch.

EAT:SEE:
ULITHE JAPANESE HOUSE

#UJloves when a good thing comes back. Uli, the Asian restaurant that originally opened on All Saints Road in 1997, has returned to Ladbroke Road thanks to Graham Rebak (Beach Blanket Babylon), who persuaded Uli’s original owner Michael Lim to reopen. The old menu has been revived – soft shell crab, crispy aromatic duck, peppercorn salted prawns – with some new, reimagined Chinese, Thai, Malay and Singaporean dishes added: think steamed dim sum, turnip tops, and bao. Oh, and there’s cocktails. And a highly Instagrammable terrace with a hanging garden and pretty pendant lights. Fans of all things super-organized should head to The Japanese House: Architecture and Life after 1945, the first major UK exhibition to focus on Japanese domestic architecture from the end of WWII to the present day, widely lauded for its influence on modern and contemporary design. Over 40 architects are included, as well as some ground-breaking architectural projects of the last 70 years, including a full-size recreation of the Moriyama House by award-winning architect Ryue Nishizawa. After, head downstairs for a glimpse at an eccentric Japanese tea house, commissioned by architecture historian Terunobu Fujimori.
